It’s been a while and I’ve been keen to get back, but you know… LIFE!
So whilst I was contemplating saving this one into my social post drafts…
I thought why not share it here to hopefully evoke inspiration for others if they’ve ever felt the way I have!
Why these images are a huge deal…
I wanted to post and share these pictures as a reminder that people have their own insecurities that they hide from the world.
One of them for me (out of many!) is getting my legs out…
Especially now I’m in my thirties!
It was something that was triggered due to an incident as a teenager. But as I got older and my body changed, it became increasingly uncomfortable for me.
And yes, I was that person that would still wear trousers or jeans in a heatwave.
I’d rather sweat profusely than get my legs out for the world to see.
But since I have been on my weight loss/health kick journey, I have unleashed a new level of confidence I didn’t think I had!
I’m growing more comfortable with my body and slowly learning to love it, where I can… (it’s a process that’s a marathon, not a sprint, right?!)
As after all your body is your HOME so maintenance of that ‘house’ is essential!
Now, I haven’t worn a dress like this since my early twenties. Which is sadly a decade ago now; so to pick this outfit and wear it with confidence whilst on holiday was actually a HUGE achievement for me!
It might seem small to others, but to me it’s a mountain of a milestone.
And one that gives me butterflies in my stomach as I’m (slightly) proud of my achievement.
Now, the point and moral of this post is not to just talk about me and shout about this achievement, as that’s NOT me. The point is that I want to remind and give you faith that you CAN achieve the things you think aren’t possible.
It just requires time, patience, a hell of a lot of determination and a change in mindset.
Flip the focus, be your own cheerleader and don’t tell yourself you CAN’T without even giving a shot.
No matter how ‘small’ that thing may seem, if it’s important to you, that should be your driving force. Regardless of what others may think or say.
We are actually in charge of our happiness in life…
So if you notice something that’s not making you feel good…
CHANGE IT!
You have the power within you to make a difference, live the life you WANT for yourself no matter how impossible that may seem.
I have faith in you.
You’ve got this and you deserve nothing but good things!
